Rated 4 out of 5 by from SUCH A NICE SHOW We travelled from Valencia, Spain, to London to see Phoenix cause it is my husband's favourite band, but I found a bit more interesting The Parcels! It was really fun and they were fresh and original! Nice discovery

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rising in the Embers As my first time visiting Alexandra Palace (or Ally Pally to the regulars) I was first taken aback by the looming grandeur and colonial architecture. Its wide vistas and open spaces, both in and out, created a warm, unified space which was both welcoming and stimulating. The anticipation to see Phoenix had grown exponentially greater throughout the day and the time had finally come. To kick things off Parcels and Castles displayed a similar electro-funk vibe which provided a much needed test of the exemplary rig set-up which created clear and harmonic audio through the gigantic open arena. Whilst final preps were under way before the main performance, the large on-stage curtains were drawn back to reveal a vast mirror spanning the width of the stage and tilted at a 45 degree angle to project a birds eye view of the stage. This made for breath-taking visuals when combined wth the display which was built into the flooring of the stage. Whichever genius worked out how to time the audio and visuals so well deserves all the recognition their ego can take. It truly was a memorable spectacle to behold. Although the combination of a tightly packed hall and exuding body-heat from thousands of fans the crowd were high spirited throughout and on the whole seemed quite friendly and polite, especially when responding to Thomas' crowd participation requests. The only downside I can muster would be the sea of camera displays throughout the event, but even I'm guilty of capturing a few personal shots. The group were both gracious and thankful for the crowd's presence as mentioned at the end of the concert. My friends and I left feeling beyond ecstatic; reborn again.
