Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great 1 day event Bought tickets for myself and my boyfriend. Loads of great bands and a variety of genres of music. 1 ore area of toilets would have been beneficial as there were only 2 areas. The bars were initially fairly disorganised but this picked up through the course of the day. My only real issue was parking, leaving the car park after the event took 2 and a half hours, there didn't seem to be many attendants taking control so this lead to a free for all. Otherwise all other aspects were good. Great variety of food stands.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Unexpected Hit! After a 21 year gap, I went to my first 'proper' live gig in 2017, Slam Dunk in Birmingham. 1 year and 6 gigs later, I'm back but this time in Leeds, my home town. As with the first time I'm with my teenage daughter, I'm 50 now! There were only a couple of bands we were going for, it was more about the experience, but ended up being pleasently surprised. State Champs kicked it off for us and didn't disappoint! Mooseblood were good, but the surprise came next. Neither of us had heard much Lower Than Atlantis, in fact my first time was in the car on the way to Leeds. They rocked big time! For me, if a band can make such an impression when you don't know their music, they must be good. Will defo be looking out for their next tour. Goldfinger too were ace! Only song I knew was Nena cover 99 Red Balloons but again fun, enthusiasm and good music made the day. Slam Dunk, like any multi stage festival, suffers from the same problem. 2 or more bands you want to see may clash, which can be a pain. We got away with it this year but that is the risk. More bins for rubbish might be useful too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from so good - venue was so much better I went to Slam dunk when it was at the uni and this site was so much better. It was easier to make your way to the different stages. It was well organised. The sheet that the gave at the entrance with how and what times everyone was playing was extremely helpful. My only issue was the toilet situation. There was just not enough. The queues to use a toilet were horrendous. It took me over an hour to use one. Valuable time when Bands I love are playing. The acoustic stage was the greatest thing ever - such a great idea. The issue with using card was a bit of a pain but understand due to the area this can not be helped.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazingggg Acts were amazing, stage layouts were amazing. Food choices were excellent and like i say the bands this year were great! Unfortuanately, there were limited toilets , would be great if next year they had more toilet points.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fireball stage wasn't as good as previous years Great event, weather was great line-up on the other stages looked good. Fireball stage was poor, only Goldfinger were amazing. Guttermouth were entertaining.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Always a good event For a one-day festival you get to see so many bands, both established ones and up-and-coming, for such a small price by comparison to a gig. This year the event moved to Hatfield Park to accommodate more stages, and that seemed to work well - entry and exit were fairly smooth, and there were plenty of facilities for food/drink/water/restrooms.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Every Year - FOREVER Me and my partner go to Slam Dunk every year. (We used to go to Leeds every year but the last couple we of years we have done Birmingham instead and the lay out is soooo much better!). Slam Dunk is the Highlight of every year. I was so excited when Jimmy Eat World and Good Charlotte were announced as co-headliners as these are 2 of my all time favourite bands. However as soon as stage times were released i was gutted that i would have to pick between the 2. Co-headlining to me kind of implies you would be able to see both. I can't recall any 'last of the day' clashes ever being referred to as co-headliners before, it has always been one clear headline act. We flipped a coin and ended up watching Good Charlotte who did not disappoint.
