Snarky Puppy, the North American band presents the new album Empire Central (2022), edited in September 2022, and revisits the various albums edited in a unique concert on the COOLJAZZ stage. The contagious energy that the band delivers on stage is unquestionable, with countless musicians in its line-up, making each concert a unique experience.

The Portuguese band Filho da Mãe debuts at COOLJAZZ, opening the main stage, where it presents its most recent album "Terra Dormente" (2022). On this day, on the Cascais Jazz Sessions Stage by Smooth FM one of the winners of the Cooljazz by Smooth FM Talent Contest will perform.

Snarky Puppy, the new album Empire Central (2022) is a result of the band's influences such as blues, hard rock, classic soul, modern gospel, funk, "fusion", always with the jazz base present. Snarky Puppy takes on the COOLJAZZ stage with 16 new original songs, which have as inspiration the music scene in Dallas, the city where the group was born. The album was edited in September 2022 and had as advance themes "Trinity", "Bet" and "Belmont". The band has 13 albums out, including such pieces as “Immigrance” (2019), “Culcha Vulva” (2016), “Family Dinner” (2016), “We Like It Here” (2014) and “The Only Constant” (2006).

Filho da Mãe, with six albums out, the artist and guitarist presents at COOLJAZZ "Terra Dormente" (2022), his latest album, which was created between Alentejo and Lisbon. In 2018, he edited the album "Água-Má", recorded on the island of Madeira. "Mergulho" (2016), "Tormenta" (2016), "Cabeça" (2013) and "Palácio" (2011), are part of the discography and history of the artist, who presents a unique journey through his path on the COOLJAZZ stage, next July 20th. 

COOLJAZZ HAS 3 CONCERTS PER NIGHT

It starts at 8pm with the Cascais Jazz Sessions by Smooth FM, then follows the First Concert on the main stage and ends with the Headliner Concert on the main stage. You can consult the festival schedule, at cooljazz.pt
