Tess wonderful at the DomeTess Parks who hails from Toronto played at the Dome in Tufnel Park to a large and appreciative crowd who came to hear her moody somewhat psychedelic sound and her amazing smoldering vocals. Her vocal presentation reminds me somewhat of Marianne Faithful. We were not to be disappointed and the whole venue was filled with wondrous music which was all rather heavenly. Her penultimate song Right On was stunning and the crowd clearly was much enamoured by her presentation of it. She sang for about 55 minuted and then left the stage, everyone waited and she and her band returned for an encore of one more song, it was all rather good.
There were two support acts, first was Faux Real who were two blokes who could sing and dance and knew how use Logic and their last but one song was quite good. Next we had Creatures who sounded like the entry that came third at a battle of the bands at your local pub, however someone near me said they were good so perhaps it is me lacking appreciation.
