Hailing from the once quiet desert town of Tucson, Arizona, The Bled exploded onto the hardcore / metal circuit in 2001. With their intense live performances along side bands like Dillinger Escape Plan, Norma Jean, Midtown and Recover, they were able to make a name for themselves within their local music scene before catching the attention of Fiddler records..
Their decade long career has seen them tour the world over, release split E.P's with Alexisonfire and From Autumn to Ashes and four albums – Pass the flask (2003) Found in the flood (2005) Silent Treatment (2007) and Heat Fetish (2010)
Their studio releases and indeed sound as a band has always been somewhat difficult to pin-point genre wise. For The Bled, the sound documented on their studio releases is nothing more than the answer to their own musical equation, a combination of everything from jazz to Converge to Led Zeppelin. But if you must call it something, take the advice of the band themselves. “We just tell people that we’re heavy.”
In August 2011 The Bled announced that they would be breaking up, saying it was “time to move on to new things.” After a sold out US tour the band will fly to the UK to play 4 exclusive shows in 2012 in extremely intimate venues. The Bristol show will take place at The Cooler and will be the only (And last!) South West show ever! Do NOT miss out on the chance to see one of the most explosive live bands of their generation for the very last time..
