Good show let down by headliner
Went to the Christmas comedy show in the Basement theatre Edinburgh to try something different after Christmas.
We were a bit concerned to find we were in an audience of only about 20. Our fears were quickly alleviated when the compère JoJo started as she made it a very interactive and fun evening. JoJo was brilliant.
The first comedian was quite entertaining, but he was trumped by Jay who was really funny.
We were then excited to see the headliner in the 2nd half, but his act was very disappointing for us. He slurred his way through his performance that mainly featured his sexuality, alcohol and his previous addictions. We were convinced that he was extremely intoxicated or on something else (maybe that was part of the act). There were some funny parts, but his stories about his exploits were more than we wanted/needed to hear
