What people are saying about The Electric Strawbs

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Strawbs musically exciting Great sounds as always, and not overloud. Intimate venue so able to see well. Acoustics not great for Dave Cousins so could not always hear his lyrics clearly. The show overall was very enjoyable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thought I was back in the 70s The Strawbs were on fine form, recreating their golden era when they morphed from a folk style into an under appreciated progressive rock band - no better illustrated than when they played all of Hero and Heroine. It was a lovely, intimate, cabaret style venue at the end of Worthing Pier. Down by the Sea was the perfect choice for this venue and was played so sublimely that any passing mermaid would have wanted to become a groupie! Dave Cousins,at 72,still has a wonderful, powerful and pure vocal delivery. All instruments were played with aplomb and commitment, by Dave Lambert on lead guitar, Chas Cronk on bass guitar, the workaholic Tony Fernandez on drums and newcomer, Dave Bainbridge fitting like a glove. I wonder if a band with 3 Daves watch Dave TV!
