What people are saying about The Handsome Family

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely Evening of Music I had a brilliant time at this gig. The music was superb, both the Handsome Family and support. The venue is gorgeous and a bonus was the MORS bags people with their sewing machine giving away beautiful bags.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Band shame about the place ! The Handsome Family delivered an excellent performance, but why do folks buy tickets to see a show and then spend the night talking loudly to each other...don't they know the can do that for free elsewhere ! ...not the first time I have encountered this at this venue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful band We went as a group of six to see Handsome Family. This is our first time seeing them, however other members of our group have seen them every uk visit since 1999! Apparently it was thought they weren't as good as previous as they were both struggling over colds. Got to say that me and my hubby thought they sounded every bit as good as the recordings. Brilliant. Also great that, as we only know 3 albums so far (Unseen, Throug the Trees and Singing Bones), we knew quite a lot of the set. Very much enjoyed and thrilled that there are lots more albums for us to hear to catch up!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really good night Despite both performers having colds, they were still able to play, sing, and entertain brilliantly. Some songs we know and love, and some new. Support 'William the Conqueror' also good

Rated 4 out of 5 by from down, but not out The Assembly Rooms in Leamington Spa was the perfect venue for this lo-fi Americana couple - almost Lynchean at times, with thick curtains as a colour-lit theatrical background to their tales of murder, freaks, drunkneness and suicide. And frogs. An utterly charming evening, marred only by the nascent flu plaguing both the band and half the audience. Get well soon, Brett and Rennie.
