A very interesting interaction. There was me - a few familiar faces and some sadly missing phyzogs...
I was bemused by the band line-ups, my not having seen the said groups for some time - visually, that is... what other seeing is there? And I wondered if Mugstar and The Heads would be churning out new or the inevitable favourites?
Mugstar were ok. The Heads equally so...
There really isn't much to say in the way of musical interaction. It's either uplifting or a damp squib.
The Heads is, even at this late stage of it's career (the band is an it, right..?), still the heaviest and most demented stoner/psyched sounding set-up going by far.. If I do recall correctly, it began churning out these excellent reverb infested tunes during the early 90's... So nigh on 30 years of this should larking about with noise and peddles should have been a decent enough reason to call it quits. But no!!! I could have easily sat through a 2 hour sesh with these guys. Easily! I aminfering that the set was not long enough - same goes for Mugstar - who alo should have played over the hour mark... We paid good money for this gig!
So whilst all the puerile rap was abounding thereabouts... just remember that there is an equally heavier and more tripped out music in existence... Hear it! - and it's called The Heads.
