Sorry there are no shows for The Light In The Piazza right now.
Be transported to sun-drenched Italy by the London premiere of hit Broadway musical The Light in the Piazza.
Starring four-time Grammy winner and Tony nominee Renée Fleming and film and television star Dove Cameron making their London stage debuts, The Light in the Piazza is directed by multiple Olivier Award winner Daniel Evans.
The new production features 'the most intensely romantic score of any musical since West Side Story' (The New York Times) performed by Opera North's 40-piece symphony orchestra.
Set in Florence during the summer of 1953, this heart-wrenching love story invites us into the world of Margaret Johnson and her daughter Clara. As they take in the wonders of the city, a fateful gust of wind whisks Clara's hat into the hands of local dreamer Fabrizio Naccarelli.
It's love at first sight, but Clara isn't quite what she appears - soon they must all confront a secret that's been kept in the shadows for far too long.

Went to this show to hear Renee Fleming
I was not disappointed with the show, but we couldn’t always hear everything, especially in the first half. We were moved in the second half and could hear better. Must mention the front of house staff who were very attentive to my wife and her mobility problems, getting us in and out of the venue and during our visit. All the principles actors were very good but Celinde Schoenmaker as Franca Naccarelli stood out also with a wonderful voice.

I went to see this because I wanted to see Renée Fleming and I love Italy. I wasn’t disappointed. The music was wonderful and the singing just fabulous. Dove Cameron and Rob Houchen were amazing. What voices.
The orchestration was great, too. Unusual music with hints of Sondheim and Bernstein at times. I want to see it again.
