What people are saying about The Lovely Eggs

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Undoubtedly very lovely Having recently discovered this band, somehat criminally late, through Mark Riley, this was my first time seeing them live and quite excellent they were too, spiky punk songs performed with real passion and professionalism, and good banter from both Holly and David. A real feel good gig that had me smiling throughout. I will certainly be seeing them again. I must also say that I think Bedford Esquires is an excellent little venue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Channelling Marc E Smith, Poly Styrene & early Bowie ! Undimmed by 13 years and 5 albums, their new stuff is as good as ever ! Holly Ross is funny and intelligent, they’re the ultimate in DIY garage punk post-psych deconstructed pop, imho ! Great little venue, Bedford Esquires.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best gig of the year in 2018 so far...and I declined an offer to see Martin Simpson...so there! Brilliant....good to get a night where every act was brilliant, mr. Ben and the Bens...glad they are coming back to Manc very soon. And the portly posh southern poet was brilliant. And The Eggs....are they not the Angels of the Lord?Uncle Paul...well ok the Angels of Lancaster

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The group that's going places The 100 Club is a good place to watch music, especially as it has that Punk history associated with it. Mr Ben & The Bens were fine to listen to, quite indie. Phill Jupitus was funny as usual (loved the Opening for Madness poem). The Eggs were, as always, brilliant. Lots of stuff from the new album, which sounds as if it's going to be brill. You can sense that they are getting far more attention now and are getting the recognition they deserve (after 11 bl00dy years!).
