Definitely one to watchAs the author of THE REDUNDANT BLADE which is the sequel to the late Tom Hadaway's play The Filleting Machine. I never envisaged that this play that I'd written would be so well received. It had be a hard 8 months trying to bring this play to the stage I never thought we'd pull it off but we did. It was worth all Heartache and a lot of hard work. The play received two standing ovations over the three nights that it was staged at Percy Park Rugby Club in North Shields. Special thanks to Brian Scorer for allowing us to rehearse and stage the play there. The cast did such a brilliant job. Steven Heanan's portrayal as Da Rutter was a challenging role but he made it his own. Stephanie Cubello a young beauty from Durham played the part of Ma Rutter brilliantly. Young Tom Hewitt who plays Davy Rutter and Jasmine Crichton Alice also gave memorable performances. Someone said that it was reminiscent of a real family whilst they were watching. He said "that it was an evocative, emotional rollercoaster of historical facts and an extremely humorous piece drama.'
I hope that when you come to the Cluny 2 to see THE REDUNDANT BLADE that you enjoy it as much as I have writing it.
author, poet, and playwright.
