An awesome evening of punk rock at the Brudenell!
I'll confess, not the first time of seen The SoapGirls. Look beyond they wear very little, look beyond they are a bit preachy, their music and songs are top rate with Societys Rejects and Elephant In The Room 2 very strong albums.
The evening started with Logoz, second time of seeing these chaps, and a strong set inspired me to buy the CD. Some really good songs from these guys.
Next up, Yalla Yallas. Never seen these before, but I will do again, for sure. A cracking set, high octane. Proper good stuff. Yes, I bough a CD.
Headlining, The SoapGirls. The 2 girls are accompanied by a male drummer, with his long hair I'm surprised he can actually see the skins to hit! Noemie on guitar and Camille on bass certainly pound out the tunes and really seem to enjoy themselves on stage, and seem genuinely pleased to meet the fans after the show (and chat with us before the show as well).
Not the first time I've seen them, and it won't be my last. As mentioned before, get past the dress and the preach. Great songs, great performance.
