What people are saying about The Temperance Movement

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Raw energy and great songs I have followed TTM since the very early days of their first airplay on planet rock. Their gigs in the times before the first album were generally small intimate venues. So it was good to see the current line up at a similar place in the Chester Live Rooms. Whilst the line up of the band has changed, Phil's raw energy on stage hasn't. Cross Jagger with Steven Tyler and times it by 50 and thats the stage presence and boundless electrifying performance that you get from TTMs front man. I was sceptical at the change in line up but having seen them a few times since, it seems to work. The gig was a mixture of the old material and a teasing taster of stuff from the forthcoming album. Just enough to send you out to pre-order if you hadn't done so already. If you 've never seen this band then it should be top of your bucket list. The most exciting, hard working and musically-honest British based band to emerge in decades. What you get at any TTM gig is a geniunely fantastic performance with classic songs......and this gig was no different.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What a disappointment After waiting in the queue for a while it was then announced that the gig was cancelled and would be rescheduled. A bit late for all the people who had spent money to get there. Better luck next time at least it has been resheduled.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Amazing concert again from The Temperance Movement, never a bad one. The venue in Cardiff was small & the music loud, what's not to like. See you again in Bristol.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding event The usual team out tonight to hear the forthcoming 3rd album from TM. Great new tracks, old style venue, what could be better? Cramped, dark and hot, the venue was reminiscent of gigs I was going to 30 to 40 years ago. Performance as top drawer from the whole band as usual, but Mr Campbell nailed it again at the front. Visceral...I could feel the sound through the soles of my feet. Looking forward to February guys, see you in Manchester...awesome!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing live band This is the third time I've seen the temperance movement and they never fail to impress or give anything less than 100%. This was far and away the best gig I've seen in the last few years and in a small venue too absolute quality. The energy from the band particularly the lead singer just grabbed you from the start and carried the whole audience along for the ride from start to finish. Probably the best live act you'll see without question. Also a special mention for the support act naked six two young lads that create an immense sound and the quality of their playing far exceeds their young age I predict big things for these two. Watch this space...

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very disappointing, but.... Phil Campbell was ill, so the band had to cry off, for the long term benefit of his voice. However, Naked Six went some way to alleviate the disappointment: they were enthusiastic and very loud. Good effort.
