What people are saying about The Weather Station

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sensational I wasn’t that familiar with TWS’s back catalogue before this gig but left wanting to buy everything that this absurdly talented Canadian musician and songwriter (Tamara Lindeman) has released over the years. Comparisons with Joni Mitchell are commonplace but the lyricism and complexity of her songwriting bears comparison with Joanna Newsom. Yes she’s that good. A faultless performance by a truly amazing artist. Can’t wait to see her again in August.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top Quality Live Music Just a stunning 'front room' experience at the very atmospheric Crofter's Rights. The Weather Station and their support Red River Dialect treated us to true musical craftsmanship of the highest quality, live brilliantly executed musical perfection that puts overpaid music at overcrowded venues to shame. These guys deserve more for their musical integrity and talent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No better way to spend your evening! I can thoroughly recommend The Weather Station. Led by Tamara Linden, who is a talented lady with an incredible voice. I thoroughly enjoyed this performance, in the backdrop of Liverpool's Central Library ... beyond perfection!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A powerful and atmospheric performance! This was a fantastic live music experience from both acts at Latest Music Bar in Brighton, an intimate cellar bar where they put chairs actually on the stage so you are as close to the performance as it is possible to get. Support act Red River Dialect set up the ambience of the evening with a confident collection of folk-rock pieces show-casing their exceptional ensemble playing. The Weather Station's performance was a perfect blend of power, confidence and vulnerability focussing on the rock - infused tracks from her latest eponymous lp. Redolent of "Herjira" era Joni Mitchell and the lyricism of prime Dylan, Tamara's beautiful singing and excellent backing from her band wowed the audience and set the gig - bar very high for 2018. A pure delight - go see this band!
