TFS/RVG @ hope and ruin Brighton.
Everything about this event was great! The Hope and ruin is a great venue, the staff both downstairs and upstairs were friendly and helpful.
I didn't get there in time to try their food before the gig but my friends (who were there earlier) informed me that the food they had was delicious.
The sound for the gig was really good.
The bar was a bit pricey, but that's to be expected in a venue in the middle of a busy road in Brighton.
RVG (Melbourne) were the support band, I'd not really listened to them prior to the event so I didn't know what to expect. They played a solid set with some catchy and relevant songs, and having listened to them a few times after the gig, I'm kicking myself for not buying one of their vinyls (sorry RVG!)
Tropical F*ck storm, what can I say? If you haven't seen them yet, be sure to change that next time they're gigging near you, or if they're not playing near you, go to them! Honestly, do it now! Look at their upcoming gigs, select one, get the ticket, and get your self to that gig because you will NOT regret it!
Anyway, I've got some leftover pizza downstairs which I'm going to have for breakfast, so that's the review done.
Go and see RVG, go and see TFS, check out the Hope and Ruin in Brighton.
