What people are saying about Vintage Cinema

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect blend of afternoon tea with a film! Lovely relaxing afternoon watching Singing In The Rain whilst eating a scrumptious afternoon tea. Plenty of space to sit and eat comfortably with a good view of the film. Food was delicious - assorted sandwiches followed by fruit and plain scones and four different cakes. Choice of hot or cold drinks. Bags provided at the end to take home uneaten goodies, and top-ups of drinks offered with no need to rush off. Thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Quirky idea but way over priced Great idea, we loved the thought of hanging out in such a unique venue and watching one of our favourite movies! However the night was tainted when we spoke to a few other people who had paid less than a quarter of what we paid, as didn’t sound like it was a sell out event. Totally understand from a business perspective of last minute bums on seats but has put me off and I wouldn’t ever return knowing it was so over priced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely brilliant evening Fantastic evening, went to the natural history museum to watch the gremlins! It's so eery and made the perfect setting! The staff were so lovely and accommodating and loved the fact we could have a late night viewing of the exhibits before the movie! The only negative thing I'd have to say was that omg those bean bags become unbearable after two hours and a very kind stranger helped me off the floor afterwards, definitely would still be there now if they hadn't of offered their help!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unusual and great fun I went to this with my wife and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Apart from it being one of my favourite films it was very funny to be sitting amongst the glass display cases with the exhibits appearing to be watching the film! Would definitely do this again

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best night EVER!! I'd been reading about Vintage Cinema for quite a while but was waiting for that "special" film that spoke to me...and then it appeared - The Lost Boys at the Hellfire Caves. THE perfect film, the perfect soundtrack and now in the creepiest and most appropriate settings. 4 of us had a prosecco cocktail to calm our nerves then undertook the horror trail of clues before taking our bean bag seats and cuddling under blankets. I have never been so affectionate with my friends (you don't have a choice by the way - it's freezing!) Dinner was themed - "how'd you like those maggots?" - and perfectly hot, delicious and filling. We screamed, we laughed, we drank and we chair danced. It was the perfect night!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleasantly surprised As other people have said, we were not sure about the bean bags but, they were very comfortable. Getting out of them was a challenge but, great fun. The film presentation and management was very good, looking forward to the next show

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Brassed off Vintage cinema!?!?!? I don't think so!! My ticket said standard bean bag when in fact my seat was similar to a dining room chair!!!! Not impressed at all so went home, biggest waste of money I've ever spent!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A unique experience but with a couple of improvements needed I went with some friends as we were celebrating our special birthdays together. The venue was unique and it was fun watching a film sitting right next to a hippo! However the drinks served were not cold which spoiled the Prosecco. Mamma Mia is a fun film and this was the first time I'd seen it. However the 'sing along' part was not as I had experienced before as all the spoken words as well as songs were in text as the bottom of the screen. This meant that the singing part was not highlighted and wasn't as successful as it might have been.
