What people are saying about Vintage Trouble

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not so "Vintage" Trouble VT are a fantastic band; they are unique, have charasmatic band members and a lead singer with unbounded energy and some pipes to die for. They have developed a group persona of a pseudo "religious" connection with their audience, the Trouble Makers, and they never fail to put everything into the concert performance. That is their weakness. In having a strong group "persona" and such "youthful" energy ( and they are NOT that young any more, Ty Taylor is nearly 50! ) they are going to have difficulty in "growing old" and changing, and their performance this time seemed a little bit of a struggle. From the opening number, the sound was poorly balanced ( from where we were standing, at least ) with Nalle Colts guitar almost inaudible, and like 4 gigs before, Ty Taylors vocals low in the mix, and a strain to hear. This is a constant complaint with VT, and only at the Ritz in Manchester has the sound been properly balanced. The Addition of a keyboard player makes the VT sound mushy, with fills to augment the "silences", and when it is coupled with poor sound, the whole concert seemed rushed, forced, and a bit of a mess. Only in the quieter numbers did VT sound terrific, such as "why would you believe", which were outstanding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Trouble Making at its Best This was our 4th time seeing Vintage Trouble, definitely the most intimate club we've seen them in, the opening song "Run like the River" set the crowd jumping,Nalle Colts guitar playing is up their with the greats, Ty as always teasing the ladies, Rick slapping his bass, Richard pounding the drums and Brian putting the keyboard thru its paces. After over 1 and a half hours on stage it was time to go,Vintage Trouble never forget their Fans - lovingly known as "Trouble Makers".. to all those who have not seen them- make sure you see them on their next UK Tour..and join the trouble makers family !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Vintage Trouble always deliver. 3 of us went to Hangar 34 (a new venue to us) we have seen VT several times before, always outstanding. As soon as we see them advertised we just buy tickets then think about the date/venue afterwards! From the very first song they had the crowd bouncing, so much energy and the quality of musicianship is first rate. They really deserve to hit the big time but then we would be denied the delight of seeing them up real close in intimate venues. Played several new songs from their forthcoming album all sounded great, just a shame the album wasn't out before the gig so we knew the songs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best live band I've seen doing it again as always Having seen Vintage Trouble many times and their live sets are the best around adding a multitude of dimensions to what are fundamentally great songs anyway, this gig at Warehouse 14 in Liverpool was no different. The venue was much smaller than the usual venues which made for a more intimate feel but this didn't stop Ty doing his usual shenanigans wandering around the crowd, crowd surfing etc, The rest of the band were as dynamic as ever wailing through some amazing instrumental breaks

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply outstanding It's not the first time I have seen VT so I knew to expect a superb live performance....and I wasn't disappointed. It was my first visit to the venue, Hangar 34 in Liverpool. A small intimate venue which suited a band like VT who love to engage with the fans. Ty's energy and pitch perfect vocals is breathtaking and makes for a great show every time. The band is so cool and musically tight it's a pleasure to see their live performance. The addition of Brian on keyboards has added another dimension to the band. The old stuff got the crowd singing and dancing and the new songs from the forth coming album sounded great...looking forward to the release in September. I attended the gig with a mate from work who had not seen VT before and he was blown away by this show. If you aren't already a "trouble-maker" already you should check this band out right now and get to see them on their next tour - they are simply outstanding live. Definitely a bucket list band
