What people are saying about World Championship Boxing

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointed!! I am a keen boxing fan and this was my first boxing event so I admit that I had very high hopes. I would like to say that the event was well organised but that really is my only positive comment. I was very disappointed on a number of points. I felt that there was absolutely no atmosphere within the event what so ever. Maybe that is how it is at a boxing event, I have no room for comparison. The speakers in the venue must not have been working properly as there was a loud distortion when Lethal Bizzle was singing and couldn't hear him properly. And I couldn't hear the announcer when he was introducing the fighters to the ring at all. This was very frustrating, paid that money and can't even hear the announcer, I personally felt it was completely unacceptable. I won't be attending a Frank Warren event again, and have told all of my friends and family to do the same as me. I will next time only go to a Match Room event. That was my first and last Frank Warren event.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from My first time at the copperbox Took my 19 year old boxing mad son to our first event at the copperbox. Good Points = great venue. fantastic facilities - easy access, toilets and very easy access to drinks. no queue for anything. very impressed with our seats which were the cheapest "in the gods" seats, yet still close to the ring and very impressive viewing. great boxing card. Bad Points = Football type crowd and nobody really interested in watching the boxing, only drinking. Literally 90% of our whole area was at the bar or toilet more than in their seat. We were constantly up and down to let people by. By later fights there was beer being spilled everywhere and many people smoking. As for the boxing, the PA system was poor. feedback was dreadful. noone could hear the master of ceremony and we watched him storm over to the soundman to complain. The boxing entries were ruined with no music. Generally lots of silences which pointed towards poor organisation. This was further demonstrated by the fact it took us an hour to hunt down the girl selling the programmes because they walked around the venue., We must have been asked a hundred times where we got the programme from. Next time we will pay the extra and get a better seat with the people who are there to watch the boxing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor staff couldn’t run a bath Poor audio on all the walks in and introductions The sound was too load or too quiet. I would have loved to see what sound checks was done before the event and what sound engineer / company signed it off . The beer stalls was selling plastic bottle but still make you put in into a cup and they didn’t even have a bottle opener so we had to use a lighter or our teeth. The whole time was poor

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible service and show awful still no response!! Hello I am writing to you to express my concern regarding towards the awful experience me and my family had at your boxing show on Saturday 16th September at the Copperbox arena. Myself and my parents together with my wife and wife's perants and their son usually watch the boxing together so we decided it would be nice for us to go to an event together as a family night out, so as a group we purchased 7 tickets from yourselfs via see tickets. For many weeks we had been talking and looking forward to this as we rarely get a chance to do things outdoors together due to my father in laws disabilities. We set off early from our homes in Rochester and traveled to Stratford international station useing the train then a short taxi ride to the arena due to my father in laws walking. Once we was in the arena everything was ok at first, however on a couple of diffrant occasions when we left our seats to use the restroom and purchase some drinks we would arrive back to our seats to notice there was people in them, as you could imagine this was a awkward situation as many of the youngster was drinking so it was difficult for us to approach them and ask for our seats back as we did not want any confrontation. On one occasion the group of young gentlemen was more than happy to move and apologised, however on a separate occasion the group of gentlemen refused to move which had put us in a situation we didn't not expect, luckily after my mother approached a steward and showed them our tickets the group of lads was made to leave. However that is just one of the many expiranced we had at this event, as the fact that frank warrens promotion had scheduled the main fights was in order of Daniel doubois, then Antony yarde and the main event between Billy Joe Saunders and Monroe jnr after that, this did not happen as the managers decided to put on two random low level fights to waste time pushing the main event till after midnight which was discussting as queensbury promotions and the Copperbox arena are fully aware of the local train times and that the last trains are at 12:18 so expected ticket buyers to have to leave to make it back to the train station in time of they wouldn't miss the train so the will not see the world title fight they paid for abslatutly discrace considering we had to get my father law back and he didn't get to enjoy the sport he loves. And after all these icons home and emailed a complaint to frank warren promotions and we are well over a week later and I still haven't had a reply from them absalute awful service We are heartbroken are family night was such an horrible experience l.
