More Information about Abbey Road Studios Tickets

As part of their 80th Anniversary celebrations, Abbey Road Studios will be opening its doors to the public for a unique experience.

Brian Kehew and Kevin Ryan - authors of the critically-acclaimed, definitive book `Recording The Beatles' will give an insightful and highly enjoyable presentation inside Studio Two. The lecture will be specifically created for this 80th anniversary event.

Kehew and Ryan's `80 Years of Recording at Abbey Road Studios' talk will explore the studio's decades of landmark recordings, celebrating the technology and sonic creativity that lead to epoch defining music from feted artists.
With over 20 years of research into EMI history, Ryan and Kehew have uncovered many secrets of the studios and have worked with Abbey Road Studios to preserve and illuminate the studios' immense history.
Much more than a mere talk, the presentation will cover the history of Abbey Road Studios with rare archive photos, film and audio from the various decades, showing changes to the studio and equipment. It will illustrate Abbey Road's long progression through all kinds of music, from classical to rock, and the methods used to record in each style/period.

Went in 1983 twice. It was opened to the public for 8 weeks. I won't be going at this price. There was a better incentive to go back then as They ran an 80 min film on The Beatles with unheard Beatle Tunes plus they had Beatle instruments out on display. A Fantastic experience.

I went to Studio Two a couple of years ago for a press screening of Nowhere Boy. It's such an amazing place that, if I hadn't already been, I'd pay £75 just to stand within those hallowed walls, breathe in the air and feel the history all around. Sadly this event has sold out now. The book Recording The Beatles is brilliant though.

Aye tis pricey rather than this be a quality day for fan's with a studio tour its just another way to help balance the the books at a bankrupt EMI http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-15697973.

Just bought two tickets as a surprise anniversary ticket for my Boyfriend, I genuinely thought he was going to cry. I got the reaction I was hoping for and more. After recently seeing Paul McCartney on his last day of his tour in Liverpool my appreciation for ANYTHING to do with The Beatles has grown. It should be an amazing day. Worth every penny to see the luck on my BFs face xxx.

Why are tickets available on this page yet NOT available on the see tickets website? Are they holding them back. They don't say they're sold out on 11th March?

Just bought my ticket for the March 24th morning presentation! Yes, it's expensive, but it's probably a once in a lifetime opportunity (at least for me, since I don't live in the UK). And while a whole tour would be nice, the presentation is in Studio Two... what more do you really need to see? :)
