Damien Dempsey Tickets
Rated 5 out of 5 by MelB from Fantastic perfomance in a perfect venue! Probably the best gig I've been to in my life...took me a week to come back down to earth afterwards.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Fiachra from Intimate and powerful Damien Dempsey, a couple of guitars and an almost religious setting in a wood lined hogwarts type setting. Bliss. His easy going nature and obvious passion for his job are a breath of fresh air and THAT voice wow. From Dublin brouge to folk troubadour. Simply brilliant. Highlights were the rousing closer 'colony' Scottish protest song 'the King's shilling' and new song 'aunt jenny' a tribute to a late relative who fought in the Irish rising I. 1916. Educational and entertaining.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Clod from Damo In Yorkshire I first discovered D.D. after reading a review of Seize The Day, on it's release, in Sunday paper. I bought the CD on the strength of that review and when I first played it I thought woooah! what is this? I've been a fan ever since and seen him four times over ten years. I went to the Trades Club, Hebden Bridge knowing I was in for a treat and it seemed everyone else in the crowd did too. He played a couple of songs from his latest release and a selection of favourites from his back catalogue including Apple Of My Eye, Almighty Love, Negative Vibes and rounded off the show with the beautiful Rainy Night In Soho. Damo didn't make a secret of his bad chest and it did affect his singing to some degree but he battled on and the audience sang along with him. There is a special love between Dempsey and his fans and he remarked what a 'great vibe' there was on this occasion. Too right!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Starling from Damo - passionate articulate and brave There is no male singer with such passion courage and drive as Damien. Even with a chest infection his voice was in abundance. I loved singing along. His solo acoustic set was perfect for this venue. So glad to see him touring the UK.
