What people are saying about Elbow

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dull Elbow unfortunately was incredibly dull. All their songs sound the same, with the exception of their one big anthem. The location, Bedgebury Pinetum is beautiful but it took an hour to get through the gates/security. Obviously it's a good thing that security measures are high but the organisers should have planned better for this. Likewise, getting all the cars out at the end - chaotic and slow. The crowd was a very middle class Waitrose picnic with chairs and wine glasses lot, but that's not surprising because of the location.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great show, great venue, poor stewarding Beautiful evening in a lovely setting. The band were fantastic as ever and we had a great time. Usual irritation of cretins who talk through the whole show as if they were down the pub...which were I wish they were. Plain selfish. The stewarding was poor though pleasant. Over an hour of queueing because they couldn't get the lines organised and then insufficient people to check people through. We all know about the need for increased security so either open earlier or have more stewards to check people in...and don't treat us like cattle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A wonderful way to spend a summer evening I went to this concert as a birthday treat and have done so for the last 3 years. We got there at 8pm and there were no queues to get in and easily parked up. Elbow were amazing entertainment and engaged with the audience which along with their stupendous rendition made the evening complete.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top class performance as ever Let's be honest outdoor concerts are good on a warm balmy summer evening. Fortunately the weather gods played a blinder and bathed everyone in glorious sunshine; only to be surpassed the superb performance of Elbow! Guy Garvey led the show in his usual friendly manner and warmly interacted with the audience making everyone feel you're his best mate. Whilst the other band members did their bit (Craig's keyboard playing was as ever top quality) and wowed everyone with some great classic Elbow tracks plus a few from the new album. What I always enjoy about Elbow gigs is the production values and a big thumbs up goes to the sound crew who balanced the gig to perfection - every instrument / voice could be heard so crisply. Slowly the Forestry Commission have learnt how to handle the traffic at the end of shows so that getting away goes without hitch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Elbow - Never fail to disappoint Third time I've seen Guy, Pete and the boys and I have love everyone of them. Yes the old sing along favourites are there, but the new tracks sounded great too, and there are always some surprises from their back catalogue as well. Guy's voice (and banter) was on top form. Would see them again tomorrow and the day after ....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First outdoor concert! Visited with friends for a birthday treat for one of them, fantastic night, six of us so we had a taxi from Bristol..... well worth it no hassle parking, got dropped off, a little walk, 15 minutes wait till gates open, and a quick getaway when finished. Elbow didn't disappoint they were fantastic. The whole evening went well from beginning to end. A very well organised event..... however did see people drinking out of cans, which said in info you can't take!! And feel that the 2lt limit on fluids should not include water!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 6th times a charm So, so good live. Atmospheric, spine tingling and a huge heartfelt hug all at the same time. Love the Apollo as well - lends itself to having capacity whilst also feeling like an intimate gig (although Guy is the master at making any gig seem intimate)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Set in the best venue in the North The only problem with Elbow sets now is that they have amassed such a fantastic library of songs that more and more have to be left out, not a bad problem to have! Its a wonderful venue, if only it wasnt in Bridlington it would be even better (only because its a horrendous drive from Teesside)
