Dave Sutherland and Dan Russell bring you a double headline show at Brighton's Folklore Rooms. Come and join these two award winning singer-songwriters for a very special evening of Americana Country music. Grammy nominated singer-songwriter Caroline Aiken will be opening the show. 

Dave Sutherland is a London based Americana/Country singer-songwriter and winner of 'UK Male Country Singer of the Year' at The UK Country Music Awards 2022. An accomplished performer filled with raw energy and emotion, Dave’s music speaks of life, love and London with the eye of an artist and the ear of a poet. 
His latest album ‘Last Drop of Empty’ was produced by the American producer Stacy Parrish who won a number of Grammy Awards for his work with T Bone Burnett, Alison Krauss and Robert Plant on Raising Sand, and Jefferson Airplane/Hot Tuna’s Jack Casady who also plays bass on the album. It was released to worldwide critical acclaim and produced two Top 5 singles. It was also voted ‘Runner Up UK Americana Album 2022’ by the readers of Americana UK, reached the Top 25 of most played UK Roots albums across America, charted in the Euroamericana charts, was listed as ‘One To Watch’ on the Alt. Country Charts in America, and nominated for ‘UK Country Album of the Year’ at the UK Country Music Awards.
Dave’s been treading the musical boards for 30 years, releasing his first record 'Navigator' under guidance of Bert Jansch. His next albums 'Comfortable Junction' and 'American Refrigerator' cemented his popularity in the UK and elevated him Stateside. He was then signed by Martin Levan at Red Kite Records and his next album 'On The Waiting List' was a commercial and critical success both in the UK and the US.
As well as extensive airplay in the UK and Ireland (including BBC Radio and RTE Radio) and across Europe, America, Canada and Australia, Dave’s topped the charts in the UK, America, Denmark, Norway and Japan. He tours extensively across the UK, Europe and America and has a new album in the planning for later this year. 

Dan Russell is an extremely talented singer songwriter and guitarist from Hassocks near Brighton in West Sussex. He's a Triple Finalist at the UK Country Music Awards, continually being recognised as Best UK Male Singer.
He began performing around 14 years old. By the time he turned 16 he had already completed 2 tours to Italy and Holland. Dan turned professional in 2007, heading off to Join RJP Entertainment in Salou, Spain. After a couple of years working in hotels entertaining the crowds he became a fully fledged member of the production team in 2009. Over the years he has won numerous awards including ‘Entertainer Of The Year’, ‘Act Of The Year’ (twice), ‘Show Of The Year’ (twice), the prestigious ‘Gold Cup’, been a multiple nominee of the South East Entertainment Awards, appeared at the Havering Tribute Festival and finally has seen an induction into the ‘Salou Hall Of Fame’ in 2017. Dan also spent several years performing his own shows in Corfu, Greece as well as appearing as one half of the infamous boy band duo ‘Take Two’. His most notable performances here were with a live band featuring Ron Thal from Guns n Roses, and entertaining crowds of over 2000 people at the Corfu beer festival. When based in the UK Dan has a full calendar of gigs as well as concentrating on his original music. He has released three studio albums. The latest, “The South Rising” was released in April 2022.

Caroline Aiken from Atlanta, Georgia, has a rich history which includes recording and performing with Bonnie Raitt and the Indigo Girls, opening for Arlo Guthrie, Muddy Waters, Doc Watson, Randy Newman, Bonnie Raitt, Little Feat, 38 Special, Beach Boys, Janis Ian, Richie Havens. Her 2006 release “Are We There Yet, Mama?” was nominated for a prestigous GRAMMY award.
