Hannah Chutzpah: Anxiety and Animal GIFs
Can mindfulness offset the anxiety of insecure housing and jobs? How about animal GIFs? Lyrical, warm and funny poetry show about pop-psychology and trying to survive modern life without being an arse. Rhymes about hope, hard knocks and keeping track of postcodes and passwords in 20 to 30-something life. Hannah Chutzpah is a Fringe regular and Burning Eye Books author. She has been described as 'fine' by three therapists and as 'of good character' by a high court judge. On a number of occasions her poetry has made people cry. Apparently in a good way.
Marc Burrows: Mind Your Head
A very personal trek through Marc's mental health history, including his time in a psychiatric ward, suicide attempts, depression and bipolar diagnosis. BUT WITH JOKES. It all sounds terribly serious, but poor mental health has led him into a succession of strange places and supplied plenty of odd experiences. A bitter-sweet, life-affirming show, part story-telling, part stand up.
???? The New Kid.co.uk “a 2011 Festival highlight... a confident and seasoned performer” ????? – Remote Goat.co.uk “ “Confident and well prepared, Burrows is a genial host...A Peter Kay for the 1990s Generation” – ThreeWeeks. "His utter joyful enthusiasm and complete lack of cynicism however - coupled with his ridiculous anecdotes about Boy George and Shakira - make him possibly the coolest act of the Fringe."- Broadway Baby ?????
