More information about Ian Prowse + Nico (Fiddle of Fire) tickets

To celebrate 10 yers since his first solo LP Ian and the fiddle of fire are heading to all four corners of these islands next Spring.
Tales will be told, songs from his whole career will be sang out, craic will be had.

Merseyside hero Ian Prowse is fresh off the back of 2 UK tours as very special guest with Elvis Costello, a phenomenal online FB show during the pandemic (40 episodes!) and his best 2 back-to-back albums since he began with Pele back in 1991. Pele signed to Polydor Records and promptly had a Number 1 hit in South Africa as well as UK tours with The Pogues, Del Amitri and the first 3 singles on the BBC Radio 1 playlist. Ian then formed Amsterdam who had John Peel weeping live on air every time he played the classic Does This Train Stop On Merseyside, which was then covered by legend Christy Moore and taken to Number 1 in the Irish LP charts. Amsterdam signed to London indie Beat Crazy, their first single crashing into the top 40 at no.32. Often referred to as the ScouseSpringsteen Ian's incendiary live show has wowed them at Reading, Glastonbury & Kendal Calling, he is very excited to be back playing back in Alexander’s on his Mersey Hymns acoustic tour.

Ian counts Chris Addison, Jean Jaques Burnel, the late Janice Long, Gary Crowley & Mick Jones in the high-profile fan club of his songwriting.

The Mersey Hymns Tour in Spring 2024 will see Ian and his fiddle of fire singing songs and telling stories of his 30-year musical journey.

Ollie Felton is an up and coming young Merseyside songwriter who regularly appears at the Ian Prowse Monday Club at the Cavern. Ollie's songwriting has been a big hit with the Liverpool crowds.
