STILLIA’s stock is rising fast. Following an inimitable Johnny Vegas directed video and cameo which accompanied their debut single ‘ Let Me In’ the St Helens alt-indie foursome have announced the release of follow up single ‘4am’ Friday 14th July, the second to be taken from their upcoming debut long player ‘From Ground To Light’.

Available on Beautiful Noise the new label imprint of Manchester’s MUK Records, ‘ 4am’ sees front man Jack Bennett in fine lyrical form, recalling the age old male ‘sweet but futile’ pre-occupation for turning up a little worse for wear at his betrothed’s doorstep in the early hours. “I’m stood outside your door and its 4 in the morning, I’m a little bit drunk but I’m trying my best to be charming” he pleads in the chorus.. hardly Romeo and Juliette, but many of us have been there, with many more still to come.

“I got a copy of their album, probably the best debut I have heard since The La’s. St. Helens now has Johnny Vegas and Stillia.” Janice Long (BBC Radio 2)

“There’s no need to debate whether they are indie or pop, Stillia are a fresh and exciting new sound" Chris Hawkins BBC 6Music

“One of those bands that seems to come from nowhere and have created a massive fuss”. Michelle Hussey BBC Introducing Manchester
