Balaam and The Angel first emerged on the scene in 1983 and by 1984 had set up their own record label Chapter 22 releasing three classic singles before signing a worldwide deal with Virgin Records. As a major label act the band released a number critically acclaimed albums (The Greatest Story Ever Told and Live Free Or Die) and were included on the soundtrack of John Candy/Steve Martin movie Planes, Trains And Automobiles. The band have toured consistently as headline act and as a guest to the likes of The Cult, Iggy Pop, Aerosmith, Kiss and more recently by request of The Almighty. Such is the crossover diversity of appeal for the band. In October 2024, Balaam And The Angel will release their first newly recorded studio material for 30 years. An AGMP Concerts presentation.
