Rated 5 out of 5 by Stibs from Roses On Parade Rightly sold-out, this was a first-class performance of immaculate musicianship. Songs which on her albums might seem fragile were muscular and dynamic without compromising the original. There were too many moments of pure, gorgeous work to list. Agnes was rather shy in between songs but communication wasn't an issue - the music spoke loud and clear. Not too loud but beautifully clear thanks to the excellent sound. The lighting was as good an old-school show as you could hope to see, incredibly rich and intense and without any projections or AV content. Special mention too for the superb support, L.A. Salami, who delivered his intelligent and articulate songs with quiet intensity and humour. On a cold night in Bristol, the warmth of Ms Obel left this observer with a glow I'm still smiling at two days later...

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mike Nutt from A polished performance from Denmark's finest! I was wondering how well Agnes Obel's exquisite chamber music would come across to a packed, all-standing audience in the cavernous hall of the Anson Rooms. While I still think her material is better appreciated in a seated, more intimate environment, there is no doubt that her polished performance on this occasion held her sell-out audience in thrall, with each and every number being received with resonding applause and cheers. Her 3-piece, all female band complemented her singing and keyboard skills brilliantly, with two double basses and drums setting a throbbing backbeat to the tinkling keys in many of the songs. If I have one criticism of her performance, it is that it was difficult to pick out the words of her songs, often lost in the overall sound. The setlist showcased her latest album, 'Citizen of Glass', which in my opinion is a major step forward artistically after her first two albums. She has been a rising star across Europe for some time, it is high time that she gained the recognition she deserves in the UK. Judging from the way her tour is selling out here, maybe that time has now come.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Paullyn87 from One of the most memorable live acts I've ever seen Stunning, beautiful, magical... all words to describe Agnes and her amazing talents. If I could have written down before the gig, all of my ideal expectations, she would have exceeded it. I knew it would be amazing when she opened with my joint favourite song "Dorian". But from there it got better. I had tunnel vision through the entire gig and didn't want it to end. I even conside red buying tickets for any other shows that weren't sold out. Incredible.
