Artistic Director Raymi Ortuste Quiroga has said about the project: ?We are very excited to be producing a theatre festival which shares an international and a local vision. We seek to unite artists above borders, an aim which feels ever more pertinent at this time of division across the Globe. We are thrilled to be giving local and international artists a Central London platform, by hosting a ?transcultural happening' in the heart of London's West End. THE PRODUCTIONS: The world premiere of HUMAN EMOTIONAL PROCESS by Jos? Rivera (Academy Award nominated screenwriter of The Motorcycle Diaries) Director: Raymi Ortuste Quiroga Cast: Aaron Anthony, Emma Drinkwater and Julian Protheroe. In an odd dystopian future, the United States government has become so powerful it has the ability to change the laws of nature. The government outlaws death. No one in America can die... The world premiere of DESERT RATS by Nate Rufus Edelman Director: David Zoob Cast: Josie Dunn, Huw Parmenter (Vikings) and Rowan Polonski (Kingsman: The Secret Service; Dr Who) Estranged brothers Frank and Jesse reunite to plan a kidnapping in a squalid motel room on a hellish day in Barstow. When day turns into night and their victim is brought out of the trunk, the siblings find their troubles have just begun. The European premiere of MOTHERGUN by Christine Evans Director: Hanna Berrigan Cast: Tuyen Do, Tom Higgins, Andrew Jardine and Bradley Taylor A group of three war survivors with no common language struggle to survive in the mud of a refugee camp ?somewhere between Europe and Hell? A toe-curling vision of hell, set in a very contemporary refugee camp. -Bill Gale, The Providence Journal The European premiere of SLOW FALLING BIRD (A staged reading) by Christine Evans Director: Hanna Berrigan Cast: Rosie Akerman, Aaron Anthony, Josie Dunn, Rob Falconer (Play That Goes Wrong), Hannah Harvey, Tim McFarland, Lorin Merhart, Huw Parmenter (Vikings) and Zoe Thorne Set in an Immigration Detention Centre in the dead centre of the Australian desert, Slow Falling Bird moves from gritty realism to hallucinatory sequences as warping social and mental conditions on both sides of the wire lead to an explosive show-down. Evans writes from the gut with a darkly gritty world-view. . . . Evans wisely fleshes out the humanity of all her characters, good and bad, sexual and cultural, victim and bully. She brilliantly utilizes the moon-like terrain of the Outback . . . to parallel the inhospitable geography of politics, where cruelty is the path of least resistance . . . A multi-layered, superlatively textured script. -Tom W. Kelly, San Francisco Bay Times PLAYWRIGHT PLATFORM with Academy Award nominee Jos? Rivera An interview with visiting Playwright Jos? Rivera with Artistic Director Raymi Ortuste Quiroga. Discussing Rivera's outstanding achievements and lifelong contribution to both theatre and film, as the first Latin American screenwriter to be nominated for an Oscar.
