Rated 5 out of 5 by vwinata from Seeing Laura playing makes me super happy Went with my friend, waited for Laura for an hour after the door opened. But the wait was so worth it. The last time I saw Laura is 5 years ago, and she blew my mind off every time I saw her. Still the same old Laura, stared into space and immersed in her own music. The gig this time was more intimate and quieter with Laura singing with her guitar only. We got to see her impressive guitar skills up close. And she talked in between the song breaks, the crowd was responsive and she conversed with us on Norwich (our city). She sang 12 or 13 songs for over an hour, a couple of songs from her old albums. I was honestly surprised she sang that many, and I think it is one of the longest (certainly the best!) acoustic gig I have ever been.

Rated 4 out of 5 by IH from Transcendental experience Laura Marling was an angel, perfectly plucking her strings and stinging with that golden voice! However the venue was too small and upwards of 5 people fainted, sort of putting a downer on the whole event. As much as I love acoustic Laura, had there been a couple more upbeat songs like Master Hunter with a drum kit, we could even have had a boogie to get the blood flowing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mikey P from Have just seen Laura for the second time in just over a week at London Roundhouse and at Lemon Grove I attended the Roundhouse with my daughter and Lemon Grove with a friend, both shows were amazing at the Roundhouse with full band including backing singers and a solo show at the Lemon Grove in a tiny very hot students union venue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ijaruvak from The best ever concert of my life Amazing having seen Laura Marling two weeks earlier in Birmingham I was looking forward to her Solo concert. In the first concert her inner strength came across surviving the pain contained in her lyrics. But in Wrexham her it was her fragility that took centre stage, the songs were moving sang with profoundly deep emotions which surged into your soul with their meaning. For the first time I felt I was really beginning to understand her lyrics on an emotional level. The words danced over your soul leaving impressions and marks. The whole concert was a communion. When I say I best concert ever I do not say it lightly having seen, over the past 18 months, Amy Macdonald, Florence and the Machine, Madonna, Lissie, Gabrielle Aplin, Taylor Swift, Kate Rusby, Ellie Goulding, Tinita Tikaram, Chrvches and Norah Jones. I must also mention the sound engineer who help create such a memorable evening. A big heart felt thank you to Laura Marling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by bolterchris from Brilliant Live Artist Not only a great musician and performer but very engaging with audience - even better live than listening at home.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Kilda from No atmosphere Laura marling was fine but more than about 20 people back from the stage you couldn't see anything. Nor to the left or right of the stage. it really is a gig that should be enjoyed in a quiet comfortable atmosphere so if you can't see the stage and your sandwiched between people it's hard to get into the moment. Ideally there would have been tables and chairs so everyone can see and enjoy the intimate quality of Laura marlings music.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Derek7 from Great artist, good venue, disrespectful staff I went to this gig with my partner who is a huge fan of laura's work, I bought the tickets for our anniversary. Laura's was amazing, voice of an angel and played the acoustic guitar very skillfully. Unfortunately we arrived a little bit late and found ourselves at the back of a packed venue, which was OK as Laura had not took to the stage. Unfortunately when Laura did arrive on stage, the bar staff and some attendees thought it was perfectly OK to have some loud and revealing conversations. My partner and I did not want to know about some 50 something first experience of a crispy cream donut, or the bar staffs Jeremy Kyle like happening that week. Suffice to say we will be hopping to see Laura again, at a different venue.
