Videocrash returns to its magnificent birthplace to break the January blues with an explosive audiovisual Soundcrash party featuring the masters of the genre showcasing their own individual takes on the audiovisual (AV) idea on a huge cinema sized screen. Unmissable!

Still basking in the unmitigated success of their much lauded and brilliant “Scintilli” LP on Warp records in late 2011 and a sold out show at Village Underground PLAID return to the Soundcrash stage for a performance focused on their superb audiovisual work. Featuring classic tracks as well as more recent output this legendary production duo haven’t lost an ounce of relevance and still continue to influence music producers around the world with their lush soundcapes and restrained but demolishing beats.

Holotronica is the latest project from the pioneering AV outfit Hexstatic. Using new technologies Hexstatic are able to take their visual show one step forward and present it to you in tridimensional format without the need to wear silly glasses or creating super-expensive set deigns. Holotronica is a groundbreaking AV concept combining analog Synthesizers with realtime midi triggered holographic visuals set in time with the beats and pulses of Hexstatic’s music. Check it out in action here. Don’t miss this!

In support we have four up and coming AV crews with a fresh and uninhibited approach to the AV concept:

The Beaufort Scale list amongst their diverse influences the music of Amon Tobin, Stereolab, Fela Kuti or Delia Derbyshire, a true hotpot of styles that come across in their beautiful live shows.

Keep Up! records is an independent labour of love record label operating from South London who tirelessly promote great music and have now turned their attentions towards creating a live AV show that showcases their impeccable and uncompromising musical and visual taste.

Breton blew us away at the Ghostpoet gig at Scala with their psych-films soundtracked to some of the dirtiest basslines we’ve heard in quite a while. With some great projects in the pipeline we have very high hopes for this young band... watch this space!

Public Service Broadcasting’s Live show consists of 2 laptops, keyboard, live drums, guitar, banjoleli, theremin to a backdrop of archive footage. Check the excellent video for their next single coming out February 2012 and prepare to be won over.

Feast your eyes, ears and soul at Videocrash on January 14th 2012.
