What people are saying about Sunny Afternoon

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sunny afternoon We had discounted tickets for this show and went to an afternoon matinee. It was a great way to spend an afternoon and we thoroughly enjoyed the show. Very uplifting and if you're old enough you can sing along or dance in the aisles for the finale.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fine .. But .. Went to see Sunny Afternoon matinee today An enjoyable show, for us the two highlights were an accapella version of 'Thank You for the Days' and the greatest hits finale Only two disappointments were that in truth it was 10-15 mins too long (plot) and the main man didn't sound or look like Ray Davies That's a bit of a handicap compared to Buddy, Jersey Boys and Let it Be (Beatles) that we've also seen productions of .. All of these undoubtedly benefited from an accurate representation of the main man. In addition hardly any of the main characters actually play their instruments (2 excellent drummers being the exception) Having said that, the production company of 20 ish are full of life with lots of clever costume changes and audience interaction A good afternoon out, but not a great one (the Harold Pinter Theatre front row Dress Circle seats couldn't have been bettered)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Theatre or Pub? This is a great musical but first half was spoiled for us by two people sitting behind who were very drunk. Ushers helpful so we moved down a level and enjoyed second half in peace but not sure why so much alcohol can be taken into auditorium.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent show I went with my husband and what an excellent show it was. It was our era and brought back lots of memories. The production was extremely well done - not just a group playing Kinks' songs, it really told the story. It was rather loud for my old ears though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant show We were very impressed with the beautiful little theatre and then the wonderful show. The acting & music was excellent and the intimate nature of the theatre made us feel almost part of the show. Would thoroughly recommend it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great show! I went to the show with my husband who grew up with the music of the Kinks. We were impressed with the quality of the cast, the sound and the theatre. So nice to see this in a small and intimate place. Well done to all involved.
