What people are saying about The Amazons

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding first time seeing them They played Isle Of Wight festival 2017. I'd been looking forward to them above everyone else. They blew me away and should have been on the main stage. Amazing set and THAT voice. Wow! Just wow! Massive things to come from this fab band!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Newcastle riverside What a shame must be the worst venue in the northeast to have chosen. Very bad sound quality too many people in such a small area. The 02 would have been better or even Middlesbrough town hall.. two fans not going because of the venue :-(

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ready for stadium rock This was the first gig I've been to at Mamma Roux in Birmingham. What a fantastic venue Soundsystem atmosphere and Ambience. It was a real buzz in the air everyone anticipating the "next big thing"...the Amazons. This it started with Black Magic, the twinkling lead guitar belying punishing bass, and menacing melodies to come. Not to mention The irresistible hook of the chorus. The highlights of the gig included "in my mind" before Matt Thompson told us to get the party started launching into stay with me and night driving. Brooding chords and staccato lead warned us that "little something "was on the way. The solid rhythm section of Jo Emmet's drums and Elliot Brigg's bass leaving Matt Thompson's stadium ready vocals and front manly stage craft that defy his years to the fore... as he drops to his knees, playing his Les Paul against the stage. Conclusion: catch the Amazons before they sell out stadiums-they're ready!
