What people are saying about The Secret Gin Festival Wolverhampton

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent Gin event! Excellent event, my first gin festival! The marquee bar with is huge range of gins and garnishes! So popular the venue ran out of gin glasses...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Gin featival Not what I expected as was hoping to sample different flavours of gin, but that was not the case. Rip off as you had to pay £1.50 for a glass so you could buy a drink at £6 a shot with a mixer that drowned the flavour!! Would not recommend!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The Event was oversold After queuing to get in and queuing for the first drink. Iwas somewhat frustrated to have to que for more than 30 minutes for the second drink.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Enjoyed once we could get to the bar Would have been a great event at either a bigger venue or if it wasn't so overbooked. the event shouldnt have 'secret' in the title as the queue was far too long, not only to get in but also to get served once you were in. the atmosphere was good, the drinks were really nice and a good selection and the live music was enjoyable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A great time! We went to this not really knowing what to expect... in fact , we had a really good time once we got the gist of how it worked :-). A really good range of gins, good advice from staff, all of whom were very friendly. Good love music apart from a couple of glitches with sound, and the food was fine. Would go again, a great atmosphere!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Overpriced and overcrowded Upon arrival we were told we had to pay £1.50 each for a glass to have a drink, when we purchased the tickets were of the understanding that the ticket included a free drink - nothing was said about the additional purchase of a glass. The complimentary drink was pathetic and certainly not worth the money paid. When I tried to purchase a real drink I had to wait 30 minutes and upon being served I was then charged £6 as opposed to the £4.60 stated in the menu. When I questioned this I was told by the barman he didn't know why there was a difference. My friends and I left the 'event' sober and very disappointed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing This was a disappointing experience. Pre paid for tickets only to find that we had to pay another charge for a glass on arrival. This could be returned at the end of your visit or returned. This cost also included a free drink , this was the worst punch I have ever tasted especially out of a plastic cup as there were no glasses available at the time. Very busy at the bar. After studying the drinks menu that was on the bar and queuing for 25 mins to be served we were informed that the drink menu did not apply and basically it was a very limited choice of drinks available and also at a dearer price ! We stayed for about 1 hour this was supposed to be a celebration with friends for my husbands birthday , we will not be attending again and would not recommend. I think the staff enjoyed the free drinks.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed Too many people crammed into a small space while being deafened by "Bill & Ted" certainly not an excellent adventure. The worst crime was the bar staff pouring all the tonic into the single gin, already drowned by a glass full of ice. Couldn't taste a drop of gin. Overall expensive, poor show Grain Store. The pork sandwich was lovely though and good value at 4 quid.
