Ion Vein

Ion Vein is an American heavy metal band from Chicago, Illinois, formed in 1995. Founded by guitarist, Chris Lotesto, from the ashes of what was once Latent Fury, Ion Vein has released two studio albums, appeared on several tribute and compilation albums, and is currently preparing to release their third album. The band has had a long working relationship with producer, Neil Kernon, who produced/engineered/mixed their second album, Reigning Memories, and is currently working on their latest studio release as well. While Ion Vein''s first two albums have been described as more of a prog/power metal sound, the band really began refining its writing approach for the third album resulting in a more focused, in-your-face metal assault that many feel has elevated the band to a higher level.
