Nadia Eide is an independent official number one chart topping Classical Crossover Coloratura Soprano. Originally from the icy north of Norway and Sweden, her voice has taken her to every continent in the world, including Antarctica. She starred in leading roles in opera and concert shows to critical acclaim before turning her attention to the music industry. She trained at the prestigious GSA Conservatoire, and is based permanently in the UK performing her solo concerts worldwide. Her music style elegantly blends orchestral power with the subtlety of contemporary music to delicately frame her soaring soprano voice. Operatic roles include Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro, Frasquita in Carmen and Zerlina in Don Giovanni with Corpus Animae Opera, Josephine in HMS Pinafore both with Opera Anywhere and The National Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company, Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute, Patience in Patience and Yum Yum in The Mikado with Opera Anywhere, Turandot in Turandot:Reimagined at the Tête a Tête Opera Festival. She has sung the role of Mabel in Pirates of Penzance numerous times for Heritage Opera, Opera Anywhere and The National Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company she has also played Lady Psyche in Princess Ida, Peep Bo in The Mikado, Yeoman of the Guard and The Sorcerer all with The National Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company. Within the world of musical theatre Nadia has played Sandy Dumbrowski in Grease the Musical (UK & Scandinavian Tour), Peaches/Baby Jane in Jerry Springer : The Opera (Stockwell Playhouse, London), Keeper of the Stone in new musical Duncton Wood (Union Theatre, London), sang the role of Christine Daaé in The Phantom of the Opera In Concert (Asian Tour), played Johanna in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (Rose and Crown Theatre, London) Nancy in the Norwegian production of Oliver! (Sarpsborg Scene Teater, Norway), Charity Hope Valentine in Sweet Charity (Lyric Theatre, Belfast), Sandy Dumbrowski in the Norwegian production of Grease the Musical (Sarpsborg Scene Teater, Norway), Inga in Norwegian play Frihetspapiret (Open Air AOF Teater, Norway). Concert and television appearances include Soprano Soloist in Dvorák's Mass in D, Soprano Soloist in Dvorák's Stabat Mater, Soloist on BBC One's Pitch Battle, toured numerous times as the Guest Opera Singer in acclaimed opera pop show ENCORE, she sang the roles of Christine Daaé, Eva Peron and Cosette in World of Musicals (China Tour), Principal Vocalist in Spirit of the Dance (International Tours), Principal Vocalist in The Celtic Ladies with Jonathan Ansell (UK Tour), toured with Queen tribute band The Bohemians singing Barcelona in Spectacular Night of Queen (European Arena Tour), Vocalist in David Phelps in Concert (O2 Arena), Principal Opera Singer in Streetmosphere Opera Show (Hong Kong), and toured the world as a Headliner Vocalist in classical crossover concert shows The Opera Girls and ANCORA. She also performs with her husband baritone Michael Storrs forming their innovative classical crossover duo X-Over. She made several television appearances singing with some of Scandinavia's biggest orchestras in her native countries of Sweden and Norway, including Songs From Motion Pictures Concert with the Sandbakken Orchestra, Young Talents Concert (Unge Talenter) with the Norwegian Wind Ensemble (Den Norske Blåsensemble) and the National New Year Concert NRK1 (Godt Musikk År) in Olavshallen, Trondheim. She appeared on BBC One's music show Pitch Battle in 2017 singing Evanescence's ?Bring Me To Life' and Queen's hit ?Barcelona' with VOXX the West End Tenors, blending rock with opera, receiving praise from judges Gareth Malone, Kelis and Joe Jonas. Her first single release 'Fall On Me' shot straight to Number One in the Official iTunes Classical Charts surpassing Andrea Bocelli and Ludovico Einaudi. She founded the Project Rainbow Charity to donate all proceeds from her singles to help her twin brother who is suffering with a severe form of Lupus. Her online concerts during the lockdown during the Covid-19 pandemic generated over 62,000 views worldwide to great acclaim. In 2021, she blew the coaches Sir Tom Jones, Olly Murs, Anne-Marie and will.i.am away with her classical rendition of Now We Are Free from Hans Zimmer's film score The Gladiator. Securing the final spot on will.i.am's team and continuing on The Voice UK as the only classical singer in the show. She won her place in the Semi-finals of The Voice UK after winning her song battle. She most recently raised the roof on The Voice UK with her spine-tingling performance of Show Must Go On by Queen, and was selected as a Finalist on Team Will.
