The Wallbirds are a British folk/pop/rock band from Doncaster, South Yorkshire formed in 2007. The Wallbirds formed in early 2007 consisting of three cousins Anthony ''Walt'' Lindley on vocals, guitar and harmonica, Chris Autey on Vocals, Drums and Luke Moreton on vocals and bass. The name the wallbirds came about when Anthony was watching a nature programme when a bird called the wallbird popped up, a bird which eats bee''s, then Anthony thought that would be a great name for a band. The played their first gig in January 2007, just six hours after forming the band, and played a total of four songs. In autumn/winter of 2007 the band toured the UK with The Pigeon Detectives and in 2008 they toured with Air Traffic and One Night Only. At the end of October 2008, the Wallbirds set off to London with no record label backing, just them and an independent A&R man. They travelled the country using various studios, like the legendary RAK Studios(Mickie Most''s studio) and they tracked the drums and bass at The Way studios in Hackney. This was done because of the vintage 8000 series NEVE desk, they also travelled to Livingston Studios, Chapel Studios in Lincolnshire and Park Lane in Glasgow. Vocals were recorded in Dean St. Studios, London, and editing was all done in Moloko Studios. The reason for this is to make sure they used the best vintage recording equipment and instruments to get the sound they wanted.
