Valerio Scanu (born 10 April 1990 in La Maddalena, Sardinia, Italy) is an Italian pop singer. In 2008 Valerio took part in the 8th edition of the Italian talent show Amici di Maria De Filippi, in which he came second place. His first studio album Sentimento sold 40,000 copies in the first week after its release in April 2009 and was certified gold. The title song reached number one on the Italian Singles Chart. On 20 February 2010, he won the 60th edition of the televised Italian song contest, the Sanremo Music Festival with his song Per tutte le volte che. At the age of 19, this made him the youngest male winner in the history of the festival. He has released one EP, three albums and nine singles.
