COOLJAZZ welcomes the legend Van Morrison for a unique concert. With more than 50 years of career, the artist brings a new album "Moving on Skiffle" to the festival, besides also playing his best-known hits. "Streamline Train" and "I'm Movin' On" are the singles from this new album, which will invade the stage of the 18^th edition of the COOLJAZZ festival. After Van Morrison's concert, Bruno Dias, DJ from the well-known Club Jamaica in Lisbon, is in charge of a DJ Set on the secondary stage of the festival. On this day, on the Cascais Jazz Sessions Stage by Smooth FM one of the winners of the Cooljazz by Smooth FM Talent Contest will perform.

Van Morrison, the 77-year-old British singer (Belfast, Northern Ireland) won over the public at a young age and since then has released over 50 albums such as "It's Too Late to Stop Now" (2008), "Enlightenment" (1990), "Hymns To The Silence" (1991), "Wavelength" (1978). Rock, rhythm and blues, folk, jazz, pop, soft rock, country, are some of the styles that are part of Van Morrison's musical universe. Lyricist of excellence, Sir George Ivan Morrison returns to the COOLJAZZ stage next summer to present his new album (yet to be released), as well as a journey through the classics that make up his longstanding career. "Brown Eyed Girl", "Days Like This", "Sweet Thing", are some of the all-time favourites that have made Van Morrison the legend he is today. With an unmatched career, Van Morrison has travelled the world, always taking his hometown of Belfast as his inspiration. The night of July 22^nd 2023 will be a journey through the past, present and future repertoire of the artist, in an intimate night at COOLJAZZ venue.

Bruno Dias performs on the stage of the Cascais Jazz Sessions by Smooth FM. He is responsible for the music that transports us to other decades in the unavoidable night space: Jamaica (Lisbon). With decades of musical selection, Bruno Dias takes over the sound of the secondary stage at Parque Marechal Carmona after the end of Van Morrison's concert (July 22^nd), on a Saturday night that has all the ingredients to become unforgettable.

COOLJAZZ HAS 3 CONCERTS PER NIGHT

It starts at 8pm with the Cascais Jazz Sessions by Smooth FM, then follows the First Concert on the main stage and ends with the Headliner Concert on the main stage. You can consult the festival schedule, at cooljazz.pt
