What people are saying about Cannibal Corpse

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Legendary Headliners. I went on my own and found everyone in attendance friendly as I would expect at a gig of this genre of music.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good, but The Black Dahlia Murder were better Had a great time seeing Cannibal Corpse and The Black Dahlia Murder in London. The night was kicked off by the French band In Arkadia. Their music was good to get the energy pumping; a decent support act - although I only saw their last 2 song performances. The Black Dahlia Murder were fantastic. They definitely rocked the place. Trevor Strnad managed to enthuse the entire crowd with his energetic stage presence. Also, his vocals were terrific. The rest of the band were solid too, with well-performed solos. I was happy that they played a lot of songs from the newest album (Nightbringers), but I wish they would have played some songs from Miasma. 4.5/5 Cannibal Corpse were as you would expect from them. A gut-rending locomotive plowing through the audience with steady beats. George Fisher was frightening - in a good way. Their performance was very good, but compared to the energy and more varied music by TBDM they didn't excite me as much. But the pits went on and on... 3.5/5

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Legendary, professors of music at work! Hello, i am delighted to write a review about my experience of yesterday, 18th March 2018 at Kentish Town , 02 academy. Despite the queue and the snow blizzard upcoming while the opening of the gates, i was astonished about the originality and the different egos presented outside the theater. I have been missing the metal scenario since long time and being surrounded by metal lovers brought me back some old good gold memories. Women where simply dressed: plush, jeans and t-shirt but they were incredibly elegant. Men tall and strong with typical long wavy hair, studs, boots and eyeliner that reminded me a concert of the 80`s even if have never been in one of`em. Unfortunately stands were poorly decorated: not a lot of fancy stuff, just a couple of t-shirts and female lingerie with the logo of the band written on. Not quite catching but few t-shirts were absolutely stunningly made. The arena was a masterpiece of art: sculptures of ancient roman over the ceiling and massive chandelier over the place lighted the room giving quite charming atmosphere to the spot. Despite the controversy about the elegance of the place and the brutality of the music that i was going to listen i have found one delusive aspect: the arena was completely cold. I had the impression to stay in a igloo with thousand penguins standing barefoot to each other to warm their-self up. I was imaging to go "down to the earth" picking up the extract of death metal strictly torn from the visceral of earth, surrounded by hot heat and flames but instead i was completing freezing. I had to dress myself back with jacket hat and scarf wondering if they had forgot to turn on the heater. Bad, bad feeling about it. I know that if you were probably moshing or risking to loose a teeth in the delirium you will not probably feel the coldness of the place but standing close to the stage moving less idolizing your idols was a though thing for me. I had not alcoholic drinks, i was not on drugs, i just wanted to immerse me in the music and go with the flow; so i did. In Arcadia (the first opening band) was very cool, they had that bass slap that i love during breakdowns and the singer was very fit, good stage keeping and energy was proliferating over the place, i had good vibes; they have done a very good job. Originally french i guess, despite the other singer was spiting on the stage Alexi Lahio style i had great but short fun. The scenario was poorly dressed but i loved them, i think i will listen them during my work outs . Thumbs up! Second band black dailiha murder were better check sounded. Speakers were turned much louder and the scene was decorated with cartoons eerie threes. Nice , i had memory of me back on the Emo days listen death-core , unfortunately i am not a big fan, i did not know any song but i have noticed that the audience was deeply glad to have them performing. The drummer and the lead guitarist were absolutely amazing, technically perfect and very confident. I liked them even if they were not exactly my style. Sweet end Cannibal Corpse. I have heard the difference during the sound check, i was just over the speakers on the left side and when the guy hit the bass drum my entrails squirmed. Unfortunately i was not on Pat O`brein`s side ( he is my idol) but Rob made me crazy, he is a machine , everything was perfect, his technique sublime and his impact on the audience was tough. I had a completely view of Mr Paul Mazurkiewicz and that was even better of a shot: the bass drum was earth-quaking the ground, i had the feeling that corpses were tearing me apart from six feet under, that was awesome! George is the man, i have seen him possessed and i admit that when they played scourge of iron i have almost cried by emotion. I do not cry very easily. So well, it has been an unforgettable experience, i was glad they have traveled all the way to London from The States, leaving their families, their houses to perform for us. I respect them, i love them. Even if i did not know all of their songs and all the lyrics or beats, riffs the guaranteed a great live performance and i will keep them forever in my soul. I will listen them everyday, in every single workout, building up my shoulders, expanding my chest and having had the pleasure to see them a couple of meters by me was an experience that i will forever remember. Even if they do not know me , i want them to know that their scourge it has been whipped in most expensive restaurants in London, it has been sung over spoiled millionaires and that it has been, sometimes, a gift to do not give up in life, their words, a tool to go ahead and their sound a shiver over my spine. Thank you Cannibal Corpse, from not the biggest but from a real fan. Tanks a lot for your music and your presence on earth. You are great! Regards, Thomas
