But being a book shop lack of refreshments was a shame and seating was not condusive to bring able to see him much. As it's all on one level. A tiny raised platform would solve that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Darklas from A lot of laughs I like to go to various acts during the comedy festival. There is always something for everyone, and suits all budgets. It's also brought me to venues I'd never heard of in my own city which is fantastic.

No bands in town, no football, a Saturday afternoon, life is..., hang on, '3 men and a tall lady' comedy gathering in The Iron Horse. Yeah, let's go there, we Glaswegians like a laugh. What I never bargained for was the sore ribs and watery eyes. Chris Scott opened the event by decimating the front row with some excellent repartoire that had the packed venue like a hyenas gathering at a laughing gas promotion. Suitably melted, Chris introduced Ross Thomson, who quite expertly led us on another hilarious romp, followed by Natalie Sweeney. Natalie is a very hotly tipped young newcomer on the Scottish comedy scene, so no surprises that she abley demonstrated why with a great set that just continued the hilarity. After the short break, allowing those in attendance to suitably catch their breath, Natalie then introduced Sam Tennent who had us back in stitches in no time, before Chris closed the show with a hilarious routine that was an absolute hoot, brilliantly dealing with a rather polite heckler, he had the audience in fits. Bravo to all, a fantastic event that left all those lucky to be in attendance, smiling as they made their way out. Superb, rising stars indeed.
