Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another class performance Second time I have seen Rufus Wainwright live after seeing him perform an acoustic set last year at the Town Hall in Leeds.Good acooustics in Glasgow and a wider range of Rufus' talents on display. Got to be one of the most underrated singers and wordsmiths on the circuit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect venue We attended this venue not quite understanding how it would go however we were more than pleased with seating etc The bar could have been better. Plus less people in their phones in front of us which of course was distracting Overall great to see Rufus again he was amazing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rufus reveals intimate side. An intimate night spent in the company of Rufus Wainwright is always to be hoped for. Last night’s performance was just that. Wainwright, accompanying himself on piano and acoustic guitar led the rapt audience through a carefully chosen selection of older ‘middle Rufus’ combined with new material from an album slated for release next Autumn. From the opening ‘Beauty Mark’ the combination of sublime vocals and virtuoso piano work was matched by great acoustic work on ‘Out of the Game’. The highlight was a wonderful rendition of ‘Memphis Skyline’ dedicated to Jeff Buckley. A nod to Buckley and to his late, great mentor, Leonard Cohen came in the form of ‘Hallelujah’. This was my first encounter with Rufus in the flesh and my expectations were totally fulfilled. The best comment of the night came in the women’s toilets at the end of the night - ‘have you ever heard such a wonderful voice?!’

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First life performance of Rufus His performance was excellent. The material was varied. His personality came across as intelligent, witty and friendly. Amazing individual performance with no support. A very unique talent. I knew nothing re. The support act. I think even the name would have been interesting. The venue left much to be desired. Our seats were ridiculously far from the stage and there was no lift. No good for people with mobility problems. No notification of these conditions
