A brilliant evening
I am 62 and recently got back in to Vinyl and, via the advice from Jumbo Records in Leeds, it was suggested that I should listen to the 'Snapped Ankles'. What a revelation! This band, in my opinion, is brilliant. After doing some research I found out they were doing a gig in Manchester so booked the tickets.
To my amazement, the support act was a guy I had seen in 2014 in the 'Puzzle Hall Inn' in Sowerby Bridge, a real ale pub that supports live music. He was the perfect compliment to the 'Snapped Ankles'.
The atmosphere throughout the event was brilliant and I basically danced non-stop for 3 hours. I have not had so much fun in ages.

What a show
Came from Paris just forvthe concert because clearly, music is in London. And boy, loved the place, the show and made friends in the crowd. What else?

Best recommended event in a long time
A DJ on Seattle radio station KEXP put Snapped Ankles album 'Come Play The Trees' in their top 10 albums of the year and also said they dressed up as trees too. This sounded crazy so I thought I really ought to see them to see how arborial they really are and found they are in fact very treeish though I am not sure which species has antlers.
Their music is hard to describe but some say it is post punk, I think that is a good description. Their performance was great apart from too much reverb on vocals so I have no idea what was being sung, hence 'Very Good' rather than 'Excellent'. However it was a wonderful evening and I think everyone else present thought so to.
There was one support act called Man from Uranus who was very entertaining with music that bordered on madness, an artist well worth seeking out.
