What people are saying about The Lemon Twigs

Rated 4 out of 5 by from These Words Good gig, the band play with lots of energy, These Words being the high point of the night. I like them because they are different the two brothers are very different they interchange from lead guitar and drummer very talented young men.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant Gig in an Intimate Setting The Lemon Twigs, what can be said precocious young talent with music sensibilities beyond their years, taking influences from wherever they can get them and melding them together into brand new songs you're sure you've heard before but can't just quite put your finger on where. Whoever you talk to will give you a different list of people or bands they are sure The Lemon Twigs sound like. The Deaf Institute Manchester was the perfect venue for this tour, their first venture into the UK and the band did not disappoint. In the first part of the set Brian D'Addario, the older brother at 19, sings and plays guitar whilst Michael D'Addario, the younger brother at 17, prowls around his drum kit like a cross between Keith Moon, Mitch Mitchell and Ginger Baker. In the second half the roles are reversed with Brian providing the percussion and Michael strangling and caressing his Gibson like a young Pete Townsend complete with obligatory jumpsuit, high kicks and windmilling. Meanwhile keyboard and bass duties are more than amply handled by Danny Ayala and Megan Zeankowski respectively. An hour and ten minutes flew by before the band left the stage for the final time leaving a stunned audience desiring more. This band deserve to go far.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The best of the zest from the Lemon Twigs Brian & Michael D' + gang stronghold a set with crowd held in full nelson of captivation with merry-go-round of drums solos, dreamy keys and glam star solos thru hits and newbies in songlist with a bit of Chilton wedged in for good measure. 'Frank' being personal fave on the night. Hope to see the 'Twigs' back here real soon....
